It's a kitty litter box it does its job. how can you rave about a box a cat shits in..... Im just glad it's not my plants anymore, but that's down to the litter. The tofu litter, they sell on this sight!!!

I was a bit worried about my two cats using a top-entry litter box, as they hadn't ever done so before. I was SO surprised to see how quickly they took to the Whale litter box - they love it! In fact, they barely use the open tray I have left out for them (just while they adjusted) This literally took a day for them to start using the Whale. It's really good quality too. Though I would suggest if you are putting it on a hard surface (likes tiles/wood etc) that you buy a litter trapping mat, or something similar to put under it, as I found that it rocked a bit with the weight of the cat when on our tiles alone. There are sticky pads included to secure it, but I'd rather be able to lift the whole thing to give it a good clean out every now and then, so the litter mat has worked well to stabilise it.

Yes, this litter box is pricey but, it is worth it. Below are my top 3 so far (I've had it less than a month)
1. My six month old kitten used to track litter all over the floor like her paws are scoops- not so much anymore! She's still a scoop but most of the litter falls off onto the lid and the large furrytail litter box catches and holds most of the rest.
2. I scoop the litter box a couple of times a day (before and after work.) The old litter box would smell by the time I got home, I don't use scented litter. The box keeps my bathroom and hallway from smelling like a litter box.
3. It's so pretty and unobtrusive. I keep the litter box in my small (all white) bathroom, it looks like it belongs there.

Best Litter Box Ever!!!
This is without a doubt the most efficient little box and the best looking litter box. I have two young cats, with my old box there was litter all over the place I had to vacuum twice a day. Now there is almost no litter on the floor.

As for function, it's easy to clean, the scoop works well, and I have no major complaints. No complaints at all, really. I had my doubts for the price, but after a few weeks of use, I have to say I think it was well worth the investment.

This litter box not only provides my sensitive (read: ridiculous) little kitty with his privacy as he does his business, safe from the prying eyes of his family (who really need to pee, Jack, are you finished yet, you ginger terror?), but also makes it impossible for him to catapult bits of litter as far as the doorway, no matter how quickly he makes his grand exit. One or two grains may escape now and then, but I'm no longer caught in the endless cycle of sweeping the bathroom daily.

If your cat won't use it as a top loading litter box, NEVER FEAR!
When folks complain that they can't use it "top entry" I just want to tell them that it is not a lost-cause. My daughter's cat would NOT use it top entry, but she loved the look... so all we did was carefully put the litter box on its side, and then put the litter liner in on the "bottom" which is technically on the side, and then snapped the "lid" into place facing forward, so that the entry hole is oriented at the top right of the face. Now it is a front-loading litter box and still looks pretty cool. Additionally, if you don't want to use it as a litter box, it is very cool looking as a cat lounge /climbing furniture, stacked in multiples, or not.
